Mandooh Care · version 1.1 · updated 24 September 2026

Mandooh Care is the booking and messaging app for the clinic of Dr. Mohamed El-Mandooh. This explains what the app stores about you, why, and what you can do about it. It describes what the software actually does, not what it might do one day.

What we collect

Your name, mobile number and email address. The clinic needs these to know who booked and to reach you if an appointment changes.

Your appointments: what kind of visit, when, at which clinic, and the short reason for the visit if you choose to write one.

Your conversations in Ask Mandooh, including messages you send and the replies you receive.

Any photo or document you choose to attach to a message, such as a scan or a lab sheet. These are stored privately and are only ever shown to you and the clinic. They are not public, and a link to one expires within the hour.

Whether you agreed to the privacy terms and to the assistant, and when.

If you turn on notifications, a device token so we can send them.

What we do not collect

No profile picture. There is no patient avatar anywhere in the app.

No location. The app never asks where you are.

No contacts, no browsing history, no advertising identifiers.

No payment details of any kind. There is no online payment in this app - nothing to enter, and nothing for us to store.

Who can see it

You, on your own account.

Dr. Mohamed El-Mandooh and clinic staff, for your care and for running the practice.

Nobody else. Your appointments and messages are technically isolated: the database refuses to return another patient’s records to your account, and refuses to return yours to theirs.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

The assistant, and the AI provider

Ask Mandooh is an AI assistant, not Dr. Mohamed El-Mandooh. Its replies are generated by software.

To answer you, the text of your conversation is sent to an external AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. We send the conversation and the clinic’s own approved answers. We do not send your name, your phone number, or your medical history.

The clinic can read a conversation when it is escalated to a human, which is how you get a real answer from the doctor.

Files you attach are NOT sent to the AI provider and the assistant does not look at them. It is not permitted to interpret a scan or a test result, so anything you attach goes to Dr. Mohamed El-Mandooh to open himself, and the conversation is passed to him automatically.

The assistant does not diagnose, does not prescribe, and is not a substitute for being seen. If it detects something that may be serious it will tell you to seek care in person.

You can turn the assistant off in Profile. Booking still works without it.

Paying for your visit

There is no online payment. The fee is shown in the app so you know what to bring, and you pay at the clinic.

So nothing about how you pay passes through here: no card details, no bank or wallet details, no payment provider, and no record of a transaction.

How long we keep it

Appointment records are kept for as long as the clinic is required to keep medical records.

Conversations are kept so the clinic has context when you come back. Ask the clinic if you want a conversation deleted.

If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except records the law requires the clinic to retain.

Your choices

Change your name, mobile and language in Profile at any time.

Turn any category of notification on or off in Profile.

Turn the assistant off in Profile.

Request account deletion in Profile. The clinic is notified and will act on it.

Ask what we hold about you by contacting the clinic (contact details in the app).

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit.

Access is enforced by the database itself rather than only by the app, so a modified or fake client still cannot read another patient’s data.

Staff access to the practice data is limited to the accounts the clinic has authorised, and changes to clinic settings are recorded.

Children

This app is intended for adults booking their own care. If a minor needs an appointment, a parent or guardian should book it.

Changes

This is version 1.1, last updated 24 September 2026. If we change what the app collects, we will update this and ask you to agree again.

Questions: the clinic (contact details in the app).
